Description: Icy Serpent Chain is similar to
Comet Chain:
Icy Serpent Chain has two ring layers in the middle instead of one. Icy Serpent Chain is made up of
short sections of
Orbital Chain
extended/stacked side by side. This weave has an AR lock feature and some instability because the middle
rings don't settle into a fixed position. Two ring sizes are used to keep the ARs low but this is not
necessary. Making this weave in all one ring size would require 5.50 - 5.70 AR. This weave has 4 sides:
top and bottom views look the same; side views look the same. The picture sample is made with
Stl 16swg 31/128"
rings that are 2 in 1 or 4 in 1 with 4.03 AR and
Stl 16swg 5/16"
rings that are 2 in 1 with 5.27 AR. This sample is flexible enough to make a bracelet with mid range
flexibility from all sides.
